Last Monday, 7/24, the federal government revealed the beginning of the “Renegocia!” program, through the National Consumer Secretariat (Senacon).
That initiative aims to facilitate the settlement of outstanding debts with creditor companies. The program will be in effect until August 11, 2023.
The “Renegocia!” Desenrola succeeds, with the aim of facilitating the renegotiation of outstanding debts in the country.
The main distinction between them lies in the fact that the joint effort does not impose an income limit or maximum value for the debts that can be negotiated, see more news below!
“Renegocia!” joint effort: how will it work?

It is important to highlight that the amount of the debt and the consumer's income are not relevant to participate.
In this way, outstanding debts with telecommunications companies, energy suppliers, banking institutions and other creditors can be renegotiated.
However, it is worth mentioning that debts relating to alimony, rural credit and real estate will not be included in this program.
The Desenrola Program, created by the Ministry of Finance, and Renegocia!, linked to the Ministry of Justice (under the coordination of Senacon), are complementary initiatives.
Recently, President Lula signed a decree to strengthen consumer protection, and this is what Procons will implement now.
The objective of this joint effort is to help consumers with debts in general, not just bank debts, but also covering debts in stores, water and electricity.
The goal is to ensure that people can reestablish credit and, thus, have better conditions to make their payments, said Flávio Dino, Minister of Justice and Public Security.
