On January 20th, the Government of Amazonas deposited the new AM State Aid payment, a permanent benefit of R$ 150 per month that benefits more than 300 thousand families in Amazonas.

Around 158 thousand families in the capital and another 142 thousand families in the interior of the state will receive the aid.

To guarantee the delivery of the cards, a task force with 900 employees from different departments was mobilized. The distribution of the benefit will begin in Manaus and will continue to the other municipalities.

According to the Secretary of Social Assistance of Amazonas, Alessandra Campêlo, the payment of aid facilitates supplementing the income of people living in extreme poverty in the state.

“The benefit makes it easier for these families to purchase basic food baskets and other basic needs,” highlighted Alessandra.

State Aid is an important instrument for combating poverty and social inequality in Amazonas.

The State Government recognizes the importance of the program and is committed to ensuring its continuity.
