The Champions League resumes this week with six British teams looking to make a name for themselves in the competition.
Manchester City and Chelsea make their respective journeys to Borussia Dortmund and purple Bull Salzburg on Tuesday, while Celtic host Shakhtar Donetsk on the same evening. Liverpool, Rangers and Tottenham are in action this Wednesday.

Borussia Dortmund
Erling Haaland is set to return to Borussia Dortmund for the first time due to joining from Manchester City in a £51.1m deal in the summer. Dortmund had a mixed crusade without the Norwegian striker, finishing second behind the metropolis in the Champions League group and fifth in the Bundesliga. Edin Terzic's face has lost four of his eleven Bundesliga games, but claimed one primary victory in four on Saturday. England midfielder Jude Bellingham scored twice in the 5-0 rout of lowly Stuttgart.
Salzburg Pink Bull

Austrian champion Salzburg did not lose due to the fact that July 30 – a series of sixteen matches. They trail community leaders E Chelsea – who they host on Tuesday – by one point after a profitable and have drawn three of their four Champions League games. Salzburg drew 1-1 at Stamford Bridge in the remaining month in Graham Potter's first process as Chelsea supervisor. At home, Salzburg are two men behind Sturm Graz, having drawn 0-0 at home with their closest opponents on Saturday.
Shakhtar Donetsk

Ajax

Ajax prepared for Liverpool's visit to Amsterdam by scoring eleven dreams in two Eredivsie video games – beating Excelsior 7-1 and winning 4-1 at RKC Waalwijk. The Dutch league leaders have received 9, drawn one and missed one of their eleven games to open up a four-way lead over PSV Eindhoven and Feyenoord. But it has been a different story in Europe as Ajax lost 2-1 at Anfield before suffering heavy 6-1 and 4-2 defeats to Napoli.

Naples

Neighborhood A leaders Napoli are arguably Europe's lovable team with their exciting delivery for the season. Luciano Spalletti's goalscoring side leads Serie A by three points, with Saturday's 1-0 victory over Roma their 11th successive victory in all competitions. The more effective Lecce and Fiorentina have already stopped them this season. Napoli's European form has been simply astonishing, with 17 goals scored in victories over Ajax (twice), Liverpool and Rangers, who they host on Wednesday.

Tottenham suffered a 2-0 Champions League defeat last month from Sporting, but the Portuguese team types have seen it as a mixed bag. Were poorly placed 2-1 at Boavista and suffered an embarrassing defeat in the Portuguese Cup to three Liga Varzim clubs. But they have won their last three games in Portugal's Primeira Liga, and Saturday's 3-1 domestic defeat of Casa Pia dropped them to fourth. Wearing have conceded two and lost two of their four Champions League games.
