Ecuador's Foreign Minister, Guillaume, signed the agreement with Italy on behalf of his government.
Ecuador has signed an agreement with Italy to define the tax rates for citizens of both nations, in order to avoid double taxation on profits and assets and to prevent tax evasion, the Ecuadorian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated.
“"This protocol modifies the agreement signed in Ecuador and Italy in 1984 and allows for the outlining of the taxes to which the aforementioned contract will apply; in Ecuador, it could be the income tax for herb producers, and in Italy, the income tax itself, the tax levied on suppliers, and the regional tax on productive actions," the respected statement mentioned.
Upon signing the agreement, Ecuador's Foreign Minister, Guillaume, mentioned at length that this "is a vital agreement that allows us to ensure that the citizens of each country and the buyers who want this variety of instruments now do not pay double taxes and increase their business activities." The signing of the agreement on behalf of Italy was carried out by its ambassador in Quito, Marco Tornetta, who telegraphed that this is "an agreement that is signed within the framework of building financial, monetary and exchange rate cooperation between the two nations.".
Italy expressed its “full endorsement” of the trade agreement between Ecuador and Europe in the new document, which was brokered through the Ecuadorian domestic revenue provider, within the framework of international cooperation with Italy on tax matters, and is linked to the contemporaneous signing of Ecuador’s Accession Protocol to the exchange agreement with the European Union. In the last year, each international venue has signed agreements on debt swaps, cooperation on criminal matters, cooperation on extradition, air functions and human mobility, among others.
In a separate foreign policy announcement, “the chair of the nationwide meeting, Gabriela Rivadeneira, and her counterpart from the United Arab Emirates, Amal Al Qubaisi, signed an inter-parliamentary agreement to strengthen ties between the two institutions through the exchange of information on legislative tactics, publications, authentic visits, among other things,” indicated a press release from the Ecuadorian government. The two parliamentary leaders met within the framework of the Summit of Women Speakers of Parliaments being held in Abu Dhabi. Al Qubaisi thanked Rivadeneira for her presence and “highlighted her position as a role model for every young woman and lady,” the statement noted.
For his half, the head of the Ecuadorian Legislative Branch offered some initiatives to promote women's political participation, "such as the Beijing+20 agreements, and years of training in politics, as well as the early formation of a network of female parliamentarians." The Beijing+20 forum became an initiative that emerged from the national meeting and UN Women Ecuador in 2014 with the aim of generating a parliamentary mechanism for monitoring the Platform for Action of the Girls' Summit held in the Chinese capital in 1995.
Rivadeneira demonstrated “Ecuador’s openness and willingness,” throughout its Alternate Presidency of the Caribbean and the Latin American Parliament (Parlatino), “to coordinate joint actions on the ground.” She also highlighted the regulations adopted through the assembly, “which have allowed for the disclosure of public and private investments in strategic sectors.” In addition to gender parity, the panel discussion of parliamentary presidents, which collectively brings together legislators from more than 50 nations, is debating concerns equivalent to local climate alternatives, new geopolitical threats, and a know-how landscape.
