Cyderes CEO and 'Shark Tank' star Robert Herjavec argues that interest rates will 'catch up with us' and the economic climate will 'hit a wall'.<\/span><\/p>\n

"Shark Tank" star and Cyderes CEO Robert Herjavec used "rugged" language on "Varney & Co." Monday to describe the latest state of the economic climate, however, he stopped short of predicting a "nasty recession" ahead.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m more concerned about the Fed and this maniacal power with interest rates than about real interest rates,\u201d Herjavec told FOX\u2019s Stuart Varney. \u201cIs there any reason why we deserve to raise seventy-five fundamental points?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Herjavec emphasized the monetary influence on decades of inflation and how it is "harming" American families, but argued against the Federal Reserve's aggressive rate hikes.<\/span><\/p>\n

At its final meeting, the Fed raised its benchmark cost of activity with the help of seventy-five foundation features for the third consecutive month, while struggling to control soaring inflation, a stream that threatens to end the U.S. economic boom and exacerbate fiscal pain for tens of millions of families and agencies.<\/span><\/p>\n

The move puts the important federal spot price at a figure of 3% to 3.25%, ideal considering the fact that it was before the 2008 economic crisis. It marks the fifth consecutive price increase in these 12 months.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSo, I\u2019m concerned about this because the economic climate is robust, people are spending, but I\u2019m worried we\u2019ll hit a wall and the costs of the pastime will catch up with us, and the whole component will grind to a halt,\u201d Herjavec noted.<\/span><\/p>\n

The investor and business expert also explained his bleak outlook for the financial future.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI think there may be a tailwind. I believe that customers continue to spend, capital goods are rising. My clients, companies are spending, but inevitably interest rates should rise as much as that,\u201d Herjavec explained.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe managed to get inflation on our backs,\u201d said Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell during a post-meeting press conference in Washington. \u201cI wish there were a painless strategy to do this. There isn\u2019t.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Average projections indicate that officials will tighten the benchmark price in federal dollars by another 125 basis points this year, suggesting a 75 basis point increase in November and a 50 basis point increase in December. However, Powell noted that no choice has yet been made regarding the size of the increases in the coming months and emphasized that officials are conditioning the decision on the approach taken by economic statistics.<\/span><\/p>\n
