A document released by Bloomberg indicates that the state is on track to overtake Germany as the world's fourth-largest economy.<\/span><\/p>\n

Governor Gavin Newsom's workplace factors include the growing renewable energy market, job creation, falling unemployment costs, and the transformation of market values for organizations as elements driving California's economic growth.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWhile critics often say that California\u2019s golden days are behind us, the truth proves otherwise \u2013 our economic boom and positive employment aspects continue to fuel the nation\u2019s economic system,\u201d Governor Newsom noted in a press release issued through his workplace.<\/span><\/p>\n

While the numbers appear on paper, a financial professional tells CBS13 that they don't tell the whole story about the state's economic climate.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201c"California is undoubtedly celebrating anything too early, as far as I'm concerned," said Dr. Sanjay Varshney, a distinguished finance professor at various institutions, including Sacramento State.<\/span><\/p>\n

Varshney, also an investment strategist, says that economic growth is respectable news, but it's misleading to glorify California's positive aspects without mentioning its clear problems.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cStudy everything we have to pay for, and you\u2019ll find the answer that California is becoming increasingly suitable for typical Americans, and we\u2019re widening that huge gap between the \u2018haves' and the \u2018have-nots',\u201d Varshney observed.<\/span><\/p>\n

One gap, he says, is fueled in part by Silicon Valley, a huge industry that wouldn't mean the complete financial picture across the entire state.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThese are the multimillionaires and billionaires of the Bay Area who distort the numbers. As for us in California, we're all struggling to survive,\u201d Varshney said.<\/span><\/p>\n

Varshney predicts that if business continues to decline in California due to high rates, sustained growth is generally not possible. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cMore and more organizations are lining up wanting to move their headquarters to Texas, Florida, or anywhere else,\u201d Varshney pointed out. \u201cJust as it\u2019s no longer easy for companies to leave the state, now we have people leaving the state. This could also affect California\u2019s growth in the future.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

As California's financial system grows to the point of surpassing Germany's, it also becomes the target of the country's worst homelessness disaster, with more than 160,000 people left homeless.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe main driver of the doubling of homelessness in our neighborhood was the high housing rate,\u201d said Bob Erlenbusch, director of the Sacramento Regional Coalition to End Homelessness.<\/span><\/p>\n

He says he's not surprised by California's economy, but says more needs to be done to help and guide vulnerable communities across the state.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cTo put it simply, a high tide lifts all boats. With our economic climate rising, the big question is, will all these smaller boats of homelessness, low-cost housing, healthcare, and low-wage work be lifted up for our inhabitants or will they continue to benefit only a few?\u201d asked Erlenbusch.<\/span><\/p>\n

When it comes to struggling Californians, the governor's office points out that Governor Newsom implemented a $52 billion tax relief package to support inflation and rising tax burdens.<\/span><\/p>\n

It essentially marks the strongest stimulus program nationwide, proposing $$ 26 billion in direct funding, $$ 15 billion in fiscal aid, and provisions for groups and extra.<\/span><\/p>\n

Will California rise to the position of the 4th most economically oriented city on the planet? Some of these figures generally cannot be obtained until the following year.<\/span><\/p>\n

A forecast outlined in the Bloomberg report shows that California is already ahead of Germany by US$72 billion when considering this new growth rate for the state.<\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
