President Joe Biden noted Tuesday that he has not visited the U.S.-Mexico border because \u201cthere are more important issues going on,\u201d despite traveling to Delaware 59 times and stopping for ice cream eight times before taking office.<\/span><\/p>\n

Biden defended his decision to stop traveling across the border while in Arizona, telling Fox News White condo correspondent Peter Doocy: \u201cThere are more important important issues going on.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Biden made the hedge as he boarded Marine One to travel to Phoenix ahead of semiconductor maker TSMC's announcement to increase its chip funding in the state to $$40 billion.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThey are going to invest billions of dollars in a new business,\u201d said the president.<\/span><\/p>\n

When Donald Trump became president, Biden described \u201chorrific scenes\u201d at the southern border of the United States with \u201cyoung people being held in cages\u201d and federal agents \u201cripping babies from their mothers\u2019 hands.\u201d However, nearly two years into his presidency, Biden has certainly not visited the border, despite many illegal immigrants flooding the country every day.<\/span><\/p>\n

For Biden, \u201cmore important matters\u201d than visiting the border interestingly encompass fifty-nine trips to his home state and eight separate stops for his favorite dessert.<\/span><\/p>\n

A Fox News Digital analysis last month found that Biden's standard trips to Delaware have charged taxpayers more than $$11 million since the birth of his presidency.<\/span><\/p>\n

The trips require taxpayer money to fund fees associated with using Air drive One or Marine One, as well as security expenses for the secret carrier.<\/span><\/p>\n

BIDEN DELAWARE'S WIDESPREAD TRAVEL COULD CHARGE TAXPAYERS AT LEAST $11 MILLION<\/span><\/p>\n

The US$$11 million receipt for Biden's trips to Delaware is likely a huge understatement considering it doesn't account for many different miscellaneous prices. This includes spending on additional helicopters that travel with him, travel to or from militia airports before or after an Air Force One flight, and lodging for the accompanying workforce.<\/span><\/p>\n

Biden also loves his ice cream and so does the media. The president stopped for ice cream at least eight times before taking office, and it almost always makes news across the country.<\/span><\/p>\n

Biden was criticized in October for an appearance at Baskin-Robbins in Portland, Oregon, when he claimed the economy is \u201cstrong as hell\u201d while munching on a chocolate ice cream cone.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cNow I\u2019m not worried about the strength of the dollar. I'm worried about the rest of the world. Our financial system is strong as hell,\u201d the president noted as inflation reached a staggering 8.2%.<\/span><\/p>\n

Most recently, Biden was photographed eating ice cream last week with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Fiola Mare restaurant in Washington, D.C.<\/span><\/p>\n

White House Assistant Press Secretary Abdullah Hasan told Fox News Digital in a press release that Biden's priority is the economic climate, not the border.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe president has made clear that his true priority is investing in the American economy and American communities, outcompeting China and bringing back American jobs from elsewhere,\u201d Hasan said. \u201cDefinitely, as Fox News' personal analysis has shown, the economic system is the real problem for most Americans. If anyone believes that this shouldn\u2019t be the president\u2019s exact priority either, they can still say that out loud.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
