The government is making tireless efforts to ensure Zimbabwe achieves a digital economy by 2030, in line with President Mnangagwa's Vision 2030, through engaging content creators.
Speaking at a content creator workshop in Kadoma, Minister of Public Affairs Jenfan Muswere, who oversees verbal exchange of know-how, postal and courier functions, said that it has become necessary to create the right content for the nation to market the Zimbabwe brand.
Minister Muswe also advised content creators to document positively for the betterment and development of the country.
“"We deserve to ensure that achieving a digital economy becomes a success for Zimbabwe to reach the imaginative and prescient 2030," he said.
“We have been expanding the infrastructure across the country while building community outreach centers to make the web accessible even in remote areas. Content creators must practice ethical and professional journalism and must create appropriate content for the benefit of the nation.”.
“The new Dispensation introduced a stakeholder method and allows us to positively document for the benefit of our nation. We deserve to rethink graphic design so that we can contribute to the development of our country and ensure a digital economic system.”
Minister Muswere noted that it has also become necessary for content creators to monetize and market their content so that the content they create can generate income.
Zimbabwe Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (POTRAZ) frequent director Dr. Dom Machengete referred to the versatility of social media structures as becoming unbelievable.
Dr. Machengete said that people were using social media to market their products and services to make money, which had become an excellent initiative.
He mentioned that they wanted to see how people can harness the artistic power of content introduction.
“We want content that builds our economic climate, creates jobs, and contributes to the digital economy. We also want to be aware of the government's expectations regarding native content material, cybersecurity insurance policy, and information security.”.
“We need to replace Google servers with native servers and create a specific sector for native content material in some fields,” noted Dr. Machengete.
