If you prefer, you can also join Caixa Econômica Federal branches.

If you want to put the money in your pocket in the same year as you join, just choose the Birthday Withdrawal until the last day of the month of your birthday. If you leave it for later, the withdrawal will only start from the following year.

Oh, and just to be clear, you only sign up once. The amounts are available for withdrawal until the last business day of the second month after your birthday. Easy, right?

According to Caixa, the most convenient way to make the redemption is through the FGTS application.

In this scenario, the amount can be transferred to any account in the worker's name, without bank restrictions, and without additional costs.

Withdrawal is available at lottery outlets or at self-service terminals for those who have the Citizen Card password.

For those who have a Citizen Card and password, it is also possible to withdraw money at Caixa Aqui correspondents, simply by presenting an identification document.

Keep an eye on some restrictions

Opting for the FGTS birthday withdrawal means giving up the possibility of withdrawing the full balance in cases of unfair dismissal.

It is worth noting that, even in this modality, the worker retains the right to a termination fine of 40%, which is paid by the employer.

It is important to emphasize that the other FGTS withdrawal conditions are not impacted by the birthday withdrawal.

This means that objectives such as purchasing a property, retiring and dealing with a serious illness remain unchanged, guaranteeing the worker the necessary flexibility in different situations.
